Salo got drafted 123 overall by the New York Islanders in 1993. he got to play his first game Dec.6 1994-1995 season against the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 3-2 overtime loss. I the 1997- 1998 season Tommy got traded to the Edmonton Oilers. Salo is still a Oiler, he hasen't won a Cup yet but in the 2001-2002 season Salo got another honor to play for the Olympic Sweden team. He played awesome and won his first game against the Mighty Canadian team. That year Canada ended up winning gold but Salo and the Swedish team still picked up a bronze medal.
