A butterfly goalie, Potvin plays deep in his net and likes to tempt shooters with his five hole. He his strong on low shots and dosent allow many bad rebounds. Selected by Toronto in 1990. In the 1998-1999 season Potvin got traded to the New York Islanders as a backup goalie. About in the middle of the 1999-2000 season felix got traded to Vancouver playing about 35 games both of the years he was there.Then in 2000-2001 season he got traded to the L.A Kings as there main goalie. But at the end of the 2002-2003 the Kings let him go. And in the summer of 2003 Potvin signed a deal with the Boston Bruins wich he will fight for the main job with Steve Shields.
